The National Testing Agency (NTA) in India administers the UGC NET exam, sometimes called the National Eligibility Test, a national-level test. It is used to assess candidates’ qualifications for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Assistant Professor appointments in Indian institutions and colleges. The test is conducted in June and December every year.
